2019 Course Substitution Forms

Any student planning to substitute a high school course currently on their schedule for a college course must submit a Course Substitution Form. Links to forms can be found here. Substitution forms must be submitted by April 17, 2019. Students who do not submit a substitution form will not remain scheduled for the high school course.

High School Portfolio Day: Sunday, October 15 Noon – 4 PM

The Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University invites area high school students who are interested in pursuing a career in the visual arts to attend our first-ever portfolio day. Representatives from area universities and museums as well as local visual artists will be on hand to review your artwork, provide feedback and advice, and answer questions in a supportive environment. This is a non-competative and fun way to get feedback on your artwork in preparation for applying to college. Your portfolio should include 5-10 pieces of your best and most recent work, but it can also include works in progress, sketchbooks and tear sheets. Come prepared to discuss your creative influences and process. This program is free and open to high school students in Durham, Orange, Person, Granville and Wake Counties. Project Uplift at UNC Chapel Hill

Project Uplift and Uplift PLUS   These enrichment programs enable high-achieving, current high school juniors to experience college life on the Carolina campus. We need your assistance in identifying outstanding students to participate in these unique experiences.  PROJECT UPLIFT seeks to engage current high school juniors in an immersive two-day experience that connects them with UNC-Chapel Hill and other four-year colleges and universities. Participants live on campus; interact with faculty, staff and current students; engage in educational, cultural and social activities and learn about admissions and college affordability.
