2017-2018 ACT Prep Classes for High School Juniors

Durham Public Schools offers ACT Prep classes several times throughout the school year at various sites. Class sessions focus on:
❚ an overview of the ACT ❚ types of questions to expect ❚ test taking tactics ❚ budgeting your time ❚ strategies for math, English, reading and science ❚ timed practices
Trained ACT instructors will lead each class. Each course is 12 hours in length. Students need to be on time and bring a pencil, notebook and calculator to each class. Every effort should be made to attend every class meeting. Make-up classes are NOT available.
The cost for the class is $20.00. Students will receive a copy of the — Official ACT Prep Guide. This guide is a companion to the teaching guide our instructors use.
Classes are filled on a first come, first served basis. Limited space is available.
A minimum enrollment of 13 students must be met to offer each class. CLASSES THAT DO NOT MEET MINIMUM ENROLLMENT WILL BE CANCELED. You will be contacted if there is a problem with your registra- tion or if a class is canceled or full.
Once your registration has been processed AND registration has closed, you and/or your child will receive an informational email about the class. This information will be available at each ACT Prep Class location.

COST: $20 per student (Classes are limited to 20 students)
BY MAIL: Complete and return the registration form and payment (check or money order) to: Community Education, P.O. Box 1967, Durham, NC 27702-1967
BY FAX: Complete and fax the registration form to our accounting office at (919) 560 - 2177, and call to make payment by phone using a credit or debit card: (919) 560 – 9488. Please note that credit/debit payments include a 3% processing fee.
IN PERSON: Complete and bring the registration form along with your method of payment to our office at 2107 Hillandale Road, Durham, NC.
Registration and payment can only be processed by the Community Education Department. Please do not submit registration forms and/or payment to your student's school.

John Wright Memorial Scholarship
