Aubrey Lee Brooks Scholarships

Eligibility Awards are made annually to seventeen (17) graduating high school seniors who meet all of the following criteria: Complete an Aubrey Lee Brooks Scholarship Application Demonstrate financial need Plan to enroll as full-time students in a degree-granting program at N.C. State University, UNC-Chapel Hill, or UNC-Greensboro Permanently reside and attend high school in one of the following counties: Alamance, Bertie, Caswell, Durham, Forsyth, Granville, Guilford, Orange, Person, Rockingham, Stokes, Surry, Swain, or Warren Of the 17 scholarships, one is awarded to a student from the areas of Greensboro and High Point and to a senior at the N.C. School of Science and Mathematics who is from an eligible county. Additional criteria include merit, leadership, character, and the desire of the recipient to prepare for a career as a useful and informed citizen. SECU Foundation People Helping People Scholarship

The SECU Foundation People Helping People Scholarship Program will award at least one scholarship valued at $10,000 (payable at $1,250 per semester) to each of the 115 Local Education Agencies (“LEA”) in North Carolina to award to a graduating senior attending one of the 16 constituent campuses of the UNC System. Each graduating senior meeting the eligibility criteria will be considered for the scholarship. The SECU Foundation People Helping People Scholarship will only be available to graduating public high school seniors who are either members of State Employees’ Credit Union (“SECU”) or eligible for membership through a parent/guardian. Any students interested in applying should contact Mrs. Brown for an application. Completed applications are due by February 14, 2019. 

BBB Torch Scholarships

BBB Torch Scholarships recognize students who personify high ethical standards as demonstrated through leadership, community service, overall personal integrity, and academic history. The North Carolina Hispanic College Fund

The NCSHP established this charitable fund at Triangle Community Foundation to benefit Hispanic students in North Carolina. We realize that the high cost of college tuition is often a major factor that students evaluate when considering college education.  The North Carolina Hispanic College Fund awards annual scholarships worth between $500 and $2,500  to help students who desire to attend college pay for their education.  Scholarships recipients are  recent graduates of North Carolina high schools who are of Hispanic/Latino background .  Recipients of a NC Hispanic College Fund scholarship must enroll in a degree program at a community college or a 2 or 4 year college/university and be committed to public service and community development.
