The BURGER KING℠ Scholars program assists employees, employees' spouses or domestic partners, employees' children and high school seniors in the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada in continuing their education. To date, the program has awarded more than $35 million in scholarships to more than 33,000 students. Last year alone, $3.7 million in scholarships were awarded to more than 3,400 deserving students. Duke HPREP DukeMed Pipeline program

The aim of this program is to provide additional foundation and experience for those students interested in pursuing a career in the health professions. Our program features medical students and members of the Student National Medical Association (SNMA), as well as minority professional faculty who will give lectures and interact with participants, providing essential role models and interaction opportunities rarely experienced by the underrepresented high school student. The exposure to the educational institution and hospitals allows the student to envision him/herself in a similar setting six to seven years from now and encourages him/her to overcome the academic challenges and hurdles encountered along the way. The counseling and interaction with successful medical students will also help the high school students avoid the academic pitfalls suffered by many talented high school students in their first year of college. NC American Chemical Society (ACS) Project SEED Program

NC-ACS Project SEED is a cost-free, statewide, year-round science enrichment program for academically talented students. The program includes a paid ($2500) summer internship. If selected, students who reside in Wake, Durham or Orange Counties will be responsible for their daily transportation to NC State, UNC-Chapel Hill or Duke University.  Students will prepare their research under the supervision of a university preceptor. Throughout the year, students will present their research at various local, state, and national science competitions.  The tentative dates for the program are June 13 – August 2, 2019 .  Project SEED is currently accepting applications from qualified 10 th and 11 th grade disadvantaged students. SALUD Program at Duke University

Scholar Academy for Latinxs United for Diversity or SALUD  is an immersive semester long (two Saturdays a month) program that would allow 11th grade Latinx-identifying students to participate in sessions that would expose them to a variety of topics pertaining to medicine.  Students will spend two Saturdays a month participating in activities designed to deepen their knowledge of medical issues, especially those affecting the Latino community. Students will have the opportunity to learn from world renowned medical professionals and gain invaluable hands-on research. The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation College Scholarship Program

The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation College Scholarship Program is among the largest undergraduate scholarship programs available to high-achieving high school seniors with financial need who seek to attend the nation’s best four-year colleges and universities. Each award is intended to cover a significant share of the student’s educational experience – including tuition, living expenses, books and required fees. Awards vary by individual, based on the cost of tuition as well as other grants or scholarships they may receive. The Gettysburg College STEM Scholars Program

The Gettysburg College STEM Scholars will consist of a select cohort of First-Year students enrolling in the fall who intend to earn a bachelor’s degree in one of the following STEM disciplines:  Biology ,  Biochemistry & Molecular Biology ,  Chemistry ,  Computer Science ,  Math , and  Physics .
