Latino Open House at NCCU




There will be a special afternoon session to provide information about North Carolina Central University! In this session, we will discuss admissions, financial aid and campus life.  We will also have Latino Student Leaders to answer questions from the high school students and families. Our focus is on Latino students and their families, however, ALL are welcome. Interpretation services will be provided if needed. We will also have lunch.  The event will happen at the NCCU Nursing Building 1402 S. Alston Ave. Durham, NC 27707 from 1-3pm.  Please assist students in the RSVP process if possible. Project Uplift and Uplift PLUS   These enrichment programs enable high-achieving, current high school juniors to experience college life on the Carolina campus. We need your assistance in identifying outstanding students to participate in these unique experiences.  PROJECT UPLIFT seeks to engage current high school juniors in an immersive two-day experience that connects them with UNC-Chapel Hill and other four-year colleges and universities. Participants live on campus; interact with faculty, staff and current students; engage in educational, cultural and social activities and learn about admissions and college affordability. $1,000 Scholarship For Those Affected By Auto Accidents

The Dirk Derrick Car & Truck Accident Injury Scholarship is an award for any  current or soon-to-be undergraduate   student in the United States  who has had his or her life altered due to an injury from a car or truck accident, be it their own injury, that of a loved one, or an influential individual. The Dirk Derrick Scholarship has a brief submission process, and applicants will be judged  on their ability to convey the lasting effect an auto accident has had on their life as well as their journey to overcome those challenges.  Applicants may apply via the Google Form below.
