Alpha Kappa Alpha, Alpha Zeta Omega Chapter Scholarship

The Alpha Zeta Omega Chapter, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. invites qualified high school seniors enrolled in Durham Public High Schools to apply for its 2018 Scholarship Awards.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

1        Unweighted Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 or better.

2        Male or Female Spring 2018 Durham Public High School graduate planning to attend college in the Fall of 2018.

3        Demonstrated outstanding achievement (academic, leadership and involvement in school and extra-curricular activities).

4        Demonstrated outstanding community involvement.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

·        Secure an application packet from your high school counselor.
·        Send completed application, an official transcript and two recommendations completed by teacher, counselor or administrator to:

Project Uplift and Uplift PLUS   These enrichment programs enable high-achieving, current high school juniors to experience college life on the Carolina campus. We need your assistance in identifying outstanding students to participate in these unique experiences.  PROJECT UPLIFT seeks to engage current high school juniors in an immersive two-day experience that connects them with UNC-Chapel Hill and other four-year colleges and universities. Participants live on campus; interact with faculty, staff and current students; engage in educational, cultural and social activities and learn about admissions and college affordability. $1,000 Scholarship For Those Affected By Auto Accidents

The Dirk Derrick Car & Truck Accident Injury Scholarship is an award for any  current or soon-to-be undergraduate   student in the United States  who has had his or her life altered due to an injury from a car or truck accident, be it their own injury, that of a loved one, or an influential individual. The Dirk Derrick Scholarship has a brief submission process, and applicants will be judged  on their ability to convey the lasting effect an auto accident has had on their life as well as their journey to overcome those challenges.  Applicants may apply via the Google Form below.
