NCSU & DTCC C3 Program
There’s a new guaranteed
admissions pathway from Durham
Tech to NC State. NC State Community College Collaboration, or
C3, is a program for Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, and Associate of
Engineering students who wish to transfer to NC State. NC State will select 15
students a year for the program through a competitive admissions process. C3
students who maintain a 3.0 or higher GPA, attend full-time, and finish their
associate’s degree at Durham Tech are guaranteed admission to NC State,
although not necessarily to some competitive majors such as engineering or design.
To be eligible for this new program, students must be in the beginning of their associate’s degree at Durham Tech (under 30 transferable credit hours), be residents of North Carolina, and have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Students in the C3 program will receive advising from NC State, access to NC State’s specialized online advising and course planning tools, ability to enroll in designated NC State courses as a Non-Degree Studies student, and opportunities to visit NC State’s campus and attend networking events with other C3 students.
The application deadline is Oct. 15. More information and the online application are available at https://admissions.ncsu.edu/m/community-college-collaboration/.
