BRITE Futures’ High School Biotechnology Summer Camp is designed to inspire students and give them a head start on identifying careers in science and biotechnology.

We provide an experience that is both educational and fun regardless of prior knowledge in genetics and biotechnology

Beyond the Basics: Biotechnology Camp for High School Students

                                    July 8-12, 2019                    9:00 am - 3:00 pm  

Students will perform experiments that include the analysis of DNA using gel electrophoresis, bacterial transformation, column chromatography, PCR, and ELISA. Each experiment acts as a stepping stone for the next day’s work, requiring students to demonstrate proper lab techniques.
